Six, January 27- February 1, Music Hall at Fair Park and February 10-15, Bass Hall. The hilarious tale of the six wives of Henry VIII, Six has upbeat, exciting music with tongue-in-cheek lyrics you’ll find yourself tapping your toes to. Though the audience already knows the unfortunate fates of Henry’s six ex-wives, the audience listens to the wives pick the leader of their rock band by determining which had the worst experience with the royal.
The Great Gatsby, February 17- March 1, Music Park at Fair Hall. Based on the 1925 novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby, set in the Roaring 20s, follows Nick, a war vet who moves to New York and ends up neighbors with wealthy Jay Gatsby. What ensues is a tangle of affairs, decent and indulgent behaviors. This iconic book has been beloved by generations of readers and the musical is a must-see for fans of this 100-year-old fiction.
Wicked, May 24- June 16. Music Hall at Fair Park. A favorite amongst Broadway Buffs and movie fans alike, Wicked is an exciting tale about good and (perceived) evil. The back story of the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch from The Wizard of Oz, Wicked has an iconic soundtrack you’ll want to dance in the aisles to. Back to the Future: The Musical, March 24-29, Bass Hall. If you’re a fan of the 1985 movie starring Michael J. Fox, you’ll want to see the musical version, in which Marty McFly accidentally changes the course of history after being transported back in time to 1955 in a time machine invented by the eccentric Doc Brown. Can he make things right again so the future works out the way it is supposed to? Light-hearted and fun, Back to the Future: The Musical is an exciting rendition of a beloved movie from yesteryear.
