Christmas on the Corpus Christi Coast

For some, the holiday season is all about snow and hot cocoa. For others, though, it’s a chance to escape to a warmer climate and enjoy the holiday lights with your toes in the sand. Although there are parts of Texas where you are fairly likely to experience a white Christmas this year, you can head to the coast and Corpus Christi if you want a Christmas in the sunshine and sand.

  • Candy Cane LaneThis Corpus Christi neighborhood has some of the best holiday lights displays in Texas! Check their Facebook page frequently to find out when and how to get photos with Santa, which food trucks will be in the neighborhood and when and so much more. If this neighborhood doesn’t get you in the holiday spirit, you just might be a Scrooge!
  • Corpus Christi Ballet presents The NutcrackerGrab your favorite people and head to see local dancers take the stage in this classic holiday tale. Watch as talented dancers animate the stage as tin soldiers and sugar plums and follow Clara on her whimsical journey with her new Nutcracker friend. This is a timeless story everyone knows and loves each holiday season!
  • Second Annual Christmas on the BeachThis drive-through light display is sure to having you humming Christmas tunes in no time. Take in a number of fun, festive displays with holiday themes, such as The Grinch and the Manger Scene. This event, located in Rockport, is free to enjoy, although donations are appreciated.
