Music Lovers Rejoice: Texas Country in the Texas Hill Country

Ask any true Texan and they will tell you that Texas Country just hits differently. It doesn’t have the same pop-inspired beats that come with more mainstream country acts such as Ella Langley or Luke Combs. Although it blends elements of folk music, it can’t quite be grouped with famous folk singers such as Bob Dylan or Emmylou Harris. It also draws inspiration from rock but sounds distinctively more country than traditional rock bands such as The Rolling Stones. Texas Country is truly a category unto itself. From the panhandle to the Gulf, famous Texas Country artists play at honky tonks, local festivals, smaller event venues and more, slinging lyrics that often talk about life in the great state of Texas. These artists drum up regular crowds who love to listen to this unique blend of sounds in a relaxed setting, often away from the crowds and hoopla that larger touring artists might inspire.
