Fun, Food & Fireworks: July 4th in DFW

And what says Fourth of July better than firework displays set to an eclectic array of patriotic music? The Dallas/Fort Worth area is a great spot to visit for the Fourth of July long weekend (the 4th is on a Friday this year- hooray!) this year, especially if you’re searching for festivals and fun. Many of the activities happening throughout the metroplex enable visitors to play all day and then celebrate the USA with fireworks once the sun goes down. So pack your bags, head to DFW and get ready for a Fourth of July celebration you won’t soon forget.

Fourth of July Celebrations not to be missed in DFW for 2025

    • KaboomTown, Addison– Rated one of the top three fireworks shows in the nation by USA Today, Addison’s KaboomTown takes place every year on July 3 and draws more than 500,000 spectators. Get ready for an evening full of family-friendly fun capped off with a firework display that will leave you happy to be in the USA.
  • Red, White & Boom, McKinneyEnjoy a hometown parade followed by a Yankee Doodle Block Party and capped off with patriotic fireworks. Festivities take place all day on July 4th, with the parade starting at 10 am and fireworks starting around 9 pm. Break out your festive attire and get ready to pay tribute to the stars and stripes. 
  • Light Up ArlingtonFree and open to the public, Arlington’s festivities start at 6 pm on July 3rd. Live music, food trucks, activities and more await visitors to the American Dream City. Stick around afterward for the fireworks, and then come back the morning of July 4th for a 5K and hometown parade. 
  • Irving Sparks & StripesFireworks, drones and a parade, oh my! This two-day event will have you feeling festive and patriotic. Swing by July 3rd for fireworks and a drone show to get you in the spirit of summer and then grab a chair and watch the parade on July 4th to celebrate what being in America means to you. 
  • Bedford 4th FestA kids’ zone, live music, fireworks and more make the Bedford 4th Fest one of the most fun in the mid cities area of DFW. Grab the whole family, come hungry and get ready to celebrate the night away at this event that takes place on Friday, July 4, from 5- 10 pm. 
  • Fair Park 4th, DallasHead to this historic spot in Dallas to celebrate summer’s most patriotic holiday. Hands-on activities for kids, vendors, food trucks and limitless fun await, and entry to the event is free for all. Then hang around for a spectacular fireworks show once the sun goes down.
