Adventures in San Marcos

Nestled along Highway 35 between Austin and San Antonio is San Marcos, a growing town of about 70,000 people and home to Texas State University. Known in large part for its upscale outlet mall, San Marcos is a destination for a lot more than just shopping, although the outlet mall there is undeniably awesome. San Marcos, located along the banks of the San Marcos River right along Interstate 35, is thought to be one of the oldest continuously inhabited sites in the Americas. It’s definitely a destination not to be missed.

Although avid shoppers will undoubtedly love San Marcos, you don’t have to love shopping to love this city! San Marcos has loads of fun in store for visitors of all ages. In fact, San Marcos has lots of outdoor activities that will make a trip to the area in the spring or summer fun for everyone.
