  • Visit the Water Tower and War Memorial Museum. Built in 1883 with 32-inch walls, the water tower served as a water tower and firehouse until 1912. It is now open one Saturday a month for visitors to explore and learn about men and women who fought in wars on behalf of the United States. Fascinating spot!  
  • Grab a glass of wine and enjoy the fresh air at Whistling Duck Winery in nearby Weimar. Open Thursday through Sunday, Whistling Duck is a great spot to relax your worries away with a great glass of Texas wine in your hand. Perfect way to unwind after a great day in southeast Texas.
