2. Outlaws & Legends Music Festival– Music lovers, listen up! The Outlaws & Legends Music Festival in Abilene is a weekend filled with live music, cold beer and lots of fun. Bring your RV and stay the weekend or just buy a day pass to hear from some of the most exciting rising stars in country music. Shop the vendor booths, make some new friends and just generally have a great time. This festival takes place toward the end of March.
3. Western Heritage Classic– Grab your 10-gallon hat and get ready for a chance to see what the life of a cowboy is all about. Internationally recognized, the Western Heritage Classic is a three-day event in Abilene that includes a number of events that pay tribute to country western living. Kids can take part in the Stickhorse Rodeo, and visitors of all ages will love the Chuckwagon Cookoff as well as the Tradeshow, the World’s Largest Bit & Spur Show and more. 4. Children’s Art & Literacy Festival- Inspire a lifelong love of reading for kids at the annual Children’s Art & Literacy Festival (nicknamed CALF). This three-day event centers around reading with activities and events that will engage and amaze young readers.
