Military Con: A First-of-its-Kind Convention Comes to San Antonio
San Antonio is an American city with deep military roots. Alamo City’s military history spans more than 300 years, and today San Antonio is one of the most significant military cities in the United States thanks to its four military installations, all of which are part of Joint Base San Antonio. The city itself is nicknamed Military City USA, and San Antonio is home to more than 30,000 active duty personnel. Indeed, San Antonio’s military presence is significant.
It makes sense, then, that San Antonio is to be the site of the first-ever Military Con, taking place in June 2027. This convention, which will take place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center from June 4-6, 2027, is open to everyone and will explore America’s military, past and present. Interactive, immersive, informative and fun, this one-of-a-kind convention will celebrate the armed forces like never before.

What is Military Con?
Military Con is a three-day convention honoring America’s armed forces. Visitors need not be only active or former members of the military. Civilians of all ages are welcome to come and explore alongside service members.

Military Con will have four key areas: a branch pavilion, six in total, one dedicated to each branch of the United States military, where guests can learn about the different branches and their specific roles.. A marketplace, where visitors can connect with brands, vendors and more. A demo theater that showcases gear, technology and K-9 teams, and panel discussions where attendees can hear from former and current service members.
