Cowtown: Where City and Country Collide

Fort Worth has always been a little different than its neighbor Dallas. It’s a little less city slicker, a little more cowboy. The city of almost one million residents feels a little less like a big city and a little more like a place where everybody knows you. Going-out attire in Fort Worth usually involves cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. Fort Worth is all about that western lifestyle- boots, bling and pick up trucks. Indeed, there is something about Panther City.

Recently, Fort Worth has made the national spotlight, thanks in no small part to Paramount’s new hit TV show, Landman. Scenes from the popular drama starring Billy Bob Thornton were filmed all over Fort Worth, including TCU and the Stockyards, two popular spots in Panther City. The show highlights some of the city’s swankier spots- but one of the most loveable parts of Fort Worth is how it is welcoming and affordable for all. Even so, if you want to experience Fort Worth like Tommy Norris’ (Billy Bob Thornton) wife and kids might, here are the spots you don’t want to miss.
