  2. Step back in time at the Whitehead Memorial Museum, a small frontier village in Del Rio. Since 1962, this museum has been giving visitors a glimpse of what life was like the area in the 19th Visitors can take in a livery stable, view local art, step inside a real caboose, tour a log cabin and so much more at this great spot that makes history come to life.
  3. Take in cave drawings and connect with nature at Seminole Canyon State Park. For the complete experience, consider taking a ranger-lead tour of the canyon area that will show you some of the coolest rock art in the state of Texas. You’ll enjoy walking, hiking and fresh air while you learn about what some of the drawings mean and who left them during this interesting day excursion.
  4. Splash around at San Felipe Springs. The third largest springs in Texas, San Felipe Springs is perfect for swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding and more. Pack a picnic and enjoy a day in the Texas sunshine with your travel companions here. In the colder months, you can take a walk along the San Felipe Creek and enjoy the crystal-clear waters.
  5. Support local art at The Firehouse Gallery. This spot offers a little of everything, from performances to art classes and culinary classes to dance. If you are visiting Del Rio on the first Friday of any month, you can check out the First Friday Art Walk where Firehouse pairs with other local galleries to promote local art and artists.
