It may not make sense, but the best Oktoberfest events in Texas will start in September. Traveling to these festivals and nearby RV parks will be much easier than trying to get to the real thing in Munich.
Addison’s Oktoberfest has been voted one of the top ten Oktoberfest events in the US. Located just north of Dallas, this small city puts on a bigger event every year, featuring local and European beers, rides for the kiddos, fair food, live music and more. This is a great family event that takes place September 19-22.
You can’t pass the Fredericksburg Oktoberfest by, taking place October 4-6. This small Hill country town is known for its food, wine, wildflowers and small town charm. But the city’s German heritage can really be seen during Oktoberfest. With events like OkTUBAfest and Chicken Dance on Main, it’s always festive at the Fredericksburg Oktoberfest.
Or celebrate with a fest as big as Texas in Houston. Their Oktoberfest takes place from 1 to 10 p.m. on October 20. Enjoy plenty of German food and beer, live music, a costume contest and even a brat toss.
No matter where you celebrate German history and culture this Oktoberfest, find a top rated RV park or resort nearby to park your rig. Use our Find a Park feature on TexasCampgrounds.net to search for campgrounds by region, city, attraction or park name.
