Marfa, Texas is not your average desert town in West Texas. The population of 2400 people equals half the altitude of the city — at 4800 feet above sea level. And that is far from the most unusual or unique fact about the city.
From the mysterious “ghost” lights to the abundance of art and architecture, Marfa is rich in history, culture and class. Be sure to come out to the Marfa Lights Festival to get a taste of the town. Stay in a nearby RV park, like KC’s RV, BC Ranch RV or La Vista RV Park in nearby Alpine, Texas.
The 27th Annual Marfa Lights Festival takes place on Labor Day weekend, August 30 through September 1. Food and craft vendors will open their booths at 5 p.m. on Friday August 30 to kick off the festival. There will also be a parade, 5K, live music and street dances.
Join the fun at the Marfa Lights Festival, then explore beautiful West Texas mountains and Big Bend National Park just a short drive away. Visit TexasCampgrounds.com to locate other RV parks all over Texas. Use our easy Find a Park feature to find parks near any attraction, region or city.
