Have you made plans for July Fourth yet? You may want to consider going to The Woodlands for their Red, Hot and Blue Festival and other events that celebrate our nation’s birth. The festivities kick off on July 3 at 8 p.m., when the Houston Symphony will present a Star-Spangled Salute at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
The Red, Hot and Blue Festival will be at both Town Green Park and Waterway Square, where you can enjoy live music, games and strolling performers, as well as hot dog and watermelon-eating contests. Of course, no July Fourth celebration would be complete without fireworks, so a grand display will culminate the event in both locations. Hours will be from 6 to 10 p.m.
Other events at The Woodlands include a parade at 9 a.m. Also, Northshore Park will be the scene of a Concert in the Park, where from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Hope Cassidy will perform country and Americana music.
